Junk Kouture Success for Beech Hill College

Congratulations to our Junk Kouture TY teams and their Art teachers Ms Anne Costello & Mrs Arlene Connolly on securing places in the Northern Regional Final and National Final of the Junk Kouture 2022 National competition. 'Mother Amaranth' designed by Fausta and Wictoria was created to spread awareness about environmental issues. She spreads knowledge about the biggest environmental issues plaguing us today, such as greenhouse gases, air pollution, soil pollution and deforestation.

'Fluorescence' designed by Aoife, Zoe and modelled by Anastasia beautifully highlights the necessity to wear high vise clothing for safety to prevent work and road related accidents, injuries and deaths. Aoife is an active member of the Glaslough Tidy Town committee who kindly donated their old high vise jackets to create this dramatic costume.

We look forward to seeing 'Mother Amarath' designed by Fausta & Wictoria showcasing their creation in the Junk Kouture National final in Bord Gais Energy Theatre Dublin sponsored by RTE.
