At Beech Hill College, all our first years took part in an ‘On your Bike’ initiative to celebrate EU mobility week. Students from the Green-schools committee and #andshecycles ambassadors, along with their teachers Ms Fitzpatrick and Ms Conlon, organised fun activities for the students to participate in throughout the day. This year we are aiming to achieve our 3rd Green School flag for Travel.
A huge thank you to the active travel unit in Monaghan County Council for sponsoring cycling equipment for our prize winners. It was fantastic to see over 60 bikes arrive to the grounds of our school on Friday morning. It is hoped that this initiative will encourage students to cycle to school in the future and inspire students to always be the best they can be at Beech Hill College.
