Beech Hill College students involved in the Skills @ Work Programme

Beech Hill College students recently took part in The School’s Business Partnership as part of their Skills @ Work Programme. This initiative involved working with Shabra Plastics and Recycling Ltd as well as Business in the Community Ireland [BITC].
5th Year Students benefitted from a range of activities including a site visit and company overview, A Day in the life of…, CV and Interview preparation and Mock Interviews.
It was an excellent venture, giving students an insight into the world of work by providing information on seeking, finding and retaining employment as well as giving students an insight into the many career opportunities that exist in the recycling industry.
Commenting on the initiative, Ms. Mona Clarke, a teacher at Beech Hill College, said that it is a proven winner, an effective partnership link for the school and had a significant motivational impact on the students.
