The all conquering Emyvale senior ladies football team and Liam Finlay Chairperson of the Beech Hill College Parents’ Association were guests of honour at Beech Hill College on Friday last to mark the presentation of the new O’Neill’s training gear to the College’s under-20 Ladies football panel.
The personalised training gear generously sponsored by the Parents’ Association is a major vote of confidence in this year’s senior team and just one example of the close ties that exist between the college and the Parents’ Association.
Liam Finlay commended the Beech Hill College Ladies for the dedication and commitment they have shown and congratulated the team for winning the Monaghan/Fermanagh division without loosing a game. He also took the opportunity to wish the girls well in the Ulster Quarterfinal.

Beech Hill College principal Frank Mc Manus, team management and the players expressed their gratitude to Liam and all members of the Parents’ Association for this substantial contribution and for all their hard work throughout the year. Successful ladies football teams have long been part of life in Beech Hill College and the college was very proud of its seven past pupils who were part of Emyvale’s All-Ireland intermediate club championship winning side last year. Sorcha McKenna, Martina Flood, Carol Flood, Sinéad Mohan, Catriona McKenna, Aisling McKenna and Lisa Sherry all represented the college with pride at various levels in the past. The girls, who brought along an array of silverware they collected this year, were presented with a small token of recognition by Principal and former trainer Frank Mc Manus.
